Drug seizures continue all over the world, a sign of a huge and hidden illegal drug trade.
In Montenegro, a quantity of drugs amounting to about 500 kg was seized by the Department of Revenue and Customs, with the support of the police.
Agents from the Revenue and Customs Administration found the huge amount of drugs at the TMV area this morning. Thanks to an enormous effort of the police forces and an exceptional coordination of the administration of the Revenue and Customs Department, the cargo was identified among the many present, and it was highlighted that it possessed a valid customs seal, considered absolutely authentic.
Now there is a hunt for corruption within the customs administration to identify those responsible for the administrative infringements that have allowed, thanks to the seals, the transit of drugs.
These coordinated actions by UPC, SPO and UP have produced visible results of which Montenegro’s police officers are particularly proud, thus placing their country at the top of Europe in the fight against drug cartels.
